OOoh that is sweet! i know the feeling. Wet roads are a pain in the butt when trying to drive sensibly, and just plain fun when trying to slide! It's been this streak of ugly weather, and with a 900 pound engine strapped to the tailgate i still get some traction in the wet, but the backend still breaks loose with ease, even on the 60hp setting! In 120 race, the transmission cannot shift fast enough as it rows through the gears and pegs the speedometer. Wow.
I talk to diane today, and she said it may be 4 to 6 months before there ready to release the new Pod switch, they have a lot of testing to do first,
I'm doing the waiting game now with ole brown .
If you install a valve body or shift kit, you have to return the trans shifting back to stock firmness, or stock shifting. That's why it is suggested to get both at the same time.
congrags alan...lot of fun isnt it?? good luck on keeping your foot out of it....thats a chore in its self..now you will be looking for reason to go for a ride...
Woohoo Alan! You're pushing me to the edge of purchase. Will have to get the Tax Return in early for that "Refund". Hmmmm, Let's see. Exhaust, Gauges, VB, Tuner ... I hope there is enough "Refund" to cover it all
Well I must have mis understood Jody when I talked to him about the Lope idle, unless he puts it with different tunes....but I think that would be a custom tune. I asked which tune it was associated with and I thought he said the 120hp tune. I just read someone say 140hp tune? Just looking to confirm if anyone else may know which one it might be? If I am wrong and it is the 140 I stand corrected..any ideas??
It doesn't really matter. I wouldn't drive in that setting anyway. Its good for idling and that is it. crusing through a parking lot on Lope, trying to hold a steady 1000 or 1500 rpm, it is so hard to keep the engine at a steady RPM. It is a very rough tune, good for idling. I uploaded a clip of it last night but the sound sucks. Still can hear the lope. Want to see?

I can definitely second the "undriveability" of the Lope idle. It drives like a stick and if you try to press the go pedal, it snaps you back, and when you let off, it snaps you forward...Hard to hold steady for sure...but sounds good when you first start it up...Strictly for show and smell...
it sounds a whole lot lopier if you put the parking brake set firmly, and then put the transmission in drive, it puts the engine under a load and it sounds pretty cammed out! The engine defanitely rocks back and forth like i saw on Thug's cammed 7.3 racer.
