heads for a 302

How hard is it to find a set of heads off a 351 that are c9oe-b heads. I want a set for my 302 because of this heads big valves and ports and relitively small chamber size. Is this head hard to find and how much would think it would cost to redo the head. I can recondition the heads my self. that is no problem but buying the heads and then the parts what would i be looking at?

I think the D0OE heads are a little more common, but I see them on Ebay from time to time, I've seen them on there for around $350-$500 a pair already reconditioned. You might check your local craigslist as well.

To buy the parts to do them yourself really depends on what you're trying to accomplish and what quality of parts you want to use. To really go through them you'd want to replace the guides if needed, maybe add oversize valves on the order of 1.94/1.60 with hardened seat inserts, new retainers and springs matched to your cam choice, and even a screw-in stud/guideplate conversion if neccessary. You might want to spend a little time on Jeg's or Summit comparing prices of different parts. The valves alone can be all over the board.

Vheck out Powerheads if you want a set of D0OE, or C9CE heds. They come with the 1.94 valves, hardened seats, guideplates the wholde thing.
