Well, I would be thinking corrosion in an electrical contact somewhere. What a beeatch. Ran fine for five months so a connection somewhere may have degraded. Was it salt water or fresh?
Can't imagine how you can say that unless you have checked all of them. When you say you drained everything, what did that include? Most importantly, is it throwing any SES codes on the dash, and even if not, have you scanned it?
I would suspect you may have some sort of error code.
no codes.I had it scanned at a local shop here in Ca.no codes came up.I drained everthing that had water everthing. It ran fine for about 5 mo.then came these problems
OK, I was going to say throttle pedal assembly after re-reading but you should have a code. So that may be out. If you are sure you are getting fuel, which I am not, then you have an electrical cutout and it is almost always CPS related when it just quits.
BTW, it's killing me, how did it get into water up to the steering wheel? Drove into a lake/pond?
i found this pick of my truck going for a swim its the black one in the middle after draing all fluids and replacing both front wheel bearings and the tranny a year later my mule is still running strong as ever
don't even know first pic i ever posted at a time there was 5 superdutys in there alot of damage that weekend i know the red one hydrolocked his engine all i did was dump out my diesel in cans of course and refilled it with fresh diesel with no water in it started it up and drove it home u just got to love it built FORD tough baby
I'm going to go back to the CPS, new or not. No codes, starts and then cuts off or doesn't start at all. Sure sounds like classic CPS problems to me. If it's been in there for 5 months it could very well have gone bad (if it's brand new, maybe DOA).
Joe
