If you look in the valley of the motor and see two silinoids one is for the iah. I beleive its the back one. The first is the gp silinoid.

Actually, I think it's the other way around. I'm pretty sure the GPR is in the back.

Just an update. I've done my 6637 mod and used 4" exhaust pipe from a Kenworth dealer. They didn't have any stainless steel scrap, so I painted it flat black. It definitely gives my F350 more pep.

I was just curious if anyone has any ballpark figures on the increase on horsepwer and torque with the 6637 mod? My truck is stock, for now, and am thinking about the Zoodad mod.

I did mine yesterday, too. I noticed how oily it was inside the pipe and will probably do the CCV mod next.

I disconnected the hose and brought it inside the house to warm up. It stretched over the filter a lot easier after that. The stock worm drive clamp worked after I cut off one of the small centering tab.

I did mine last week, too. The stock intake tube took some coaxing to get on, but it went. My stock clamp also worked after I trimmed the tab a little. However, go back and double-check your clamp! Mine was loose a couple days later, so I tightened it a bit more than I did the last time. I was a bit gun-shy of over-tightening, so I didn't cinch down as hard as I would've normally. I'll keep an eye one it.

*DO THE CCV MOD* -- After I saw the oily boots & oil on the back of the engine, I did it as soon as I had time. I used a short piece of 4" thin PVC to replace the vented coupler, which was about as difficult to get into the turbo-side tube as the fliter on the other side. A medium-sized screwdriver as a shoehorn helped quite a bit.

Hey, Izzy... did you roughen up the surface of the 6637 filter extruded end before clamping down on it? I've read where several guys have seen that help them out. I, too, had mine come loose within a week of installing, and I jsut went ahead and used a piece of 4" exhaust pipe for the transition.

Now, though, I've smelled exhaust in the cab a couple of times when using the "vent". I need to check all my boots to make sure they're still tight.

No, but the filter didn't come loose -- only the clamp itself. I didn't tighten the band clamp as much as I "normally" would have. I snugged down pretty good this time and it seems to be holding. I've been checking it every other day or so.

I got gunshy after mine came loose, and decided to not worry about it any more and use the scrap piece of pipe I picked up at a local exhaust shop. Now I don't feel paranoid about it, and have just enough of that scrap 4" left over to do my CCV before too long.

Great thread.. I was going to use 4" PVC pipe also, but after reading this I visited Ebay and picked up a steel 4" 45 degree elbow It looks like it will put my 6637 air filter in just the right spot.
