All things considered, I DO understand. people need to know they can rely on a store to post and keep its hours. But I would CERTAINLY understand if they closed due to inclement weather.

Well, I got my first look at the carnage today. I'm on a job 24 miles south of Heber Springs Ak, agrivating an oil well into the ground. Wife called me up this morning and told me that the power was out and it was 58 degrees in the house. Well thats enough of that. Went into Jacksboro and bought her a gen set for my trailer so at least she'll have some power, and be warm and dry. Drove home (4+ hours) wasn't real impressed. Hit Hollister and Branson and though "What is all the hubub about"........Drove up to Ozark, hung a left on 14........Went through Nixa, no prob...............On to Clever.........then I thought somebody had shelled the place and then dumped freezing water over it. I have NEVER seen ice damage like that before in my LIFE. I think this storm has killed ALL the trees in Billings. ALL of them. It's a MESS. Got home, set up the generator and got the missus moved in, traded her truck for mine (which is a good thing. Keep her home where it's SAFE), and then had to blaze out, because they're down here drilling without somebody to tend the tool. Getting back to 65 was an ADVENTURE, but looked almost identical to getting in (only worse, and got to see a wreck on 14 that wasn't there when I went in ). The rest of the trip back was uneventful, except that I notice EVERY river from Nixa south to here was running at the top of it's banks. THAT, I'm afriad, will be the NEXT little bit of bad news in this saga..........flooding.

Well, I made it to work today, but I'm a bit lonely. Freeways weren't bad, but I'm not sure the city of Grandview owns a snow plow...piles of ice on Main St.

Now, can I get home this afternoon? Snowing pretty good out there right now....eek.

Your positive attitude is SUCH an inspiration...lol!

I'm still driving Radiator Boy's little Focus. Haven't wrecked it yet. Spun out turning off of Gregory a few times, but haven't landed in a ditch.

Yet.

For the record, I don't like this here snow. not one bit. I'm not at all brave enough to drive in it.

Last time it snowed here (about what...a month ago) it melted the next day. Driving sucked for ONE day...now its been like 4.

I'm moving back to AZ... Sorry uncle T. I know you will be heart broken. But I don't look cute in 12 coats.

Sure ya do

You're not breaking MY heart. Go to AZ if that's what you think is best. (or go to .... in a handbasket... )

The snow really isn't deep enough to be bad...it's the ice underneath it that makes it treacherous.
