Just got done talking to the wife. It just hit in Billings about 2 hours ago. It's so damn slick outside that the dog fell down the stairs to the deck trying to "go outside". Freind of mine that drives for AF is coming home from Memphis and was passing through Jonesboro Arkansas and heading right into the teeth of it.
It's been raining all night and it's 29 degrees right now. The good news is, we still have electric. I just went out with the dogs and the back deck isn't fit for man nor beast.........it's slllllllliiiiiiiiick!!! While I was out there I heard a couple pops almost like a firecracker from up by the neighbors. It most likely came from some tree limbs giving it up... When it gets daylight I'll be able to make an assessment...
Waiting for light myself, to check it all out. it LOOKS like just snow, but I know it was sleet all night. Let the dogs out and their paws didn't even make impressions! Plus, they came right back IN instead of hanging out there.
I'll take everyone's word for it. I was sure to hit the bank and the grocery store on my home last night...methinks I'll just be sitting here in my nice warm house watching football this weekend.
Well I made it to work this morning. No problem. Well, almost a little incident, but that was me. My buddy warned me to tune her back to stock before I tried playing around. She does awesome donuts on the ice in the parking lot, but on race setting, when the turbo hits, holy crap!! I felt like on of those Ice Dancers twirling. Musta taken a good 2 minutes for it to stop spinning. Wish I'd had the camcorder for it, had to look pretty cool from the outside.
I was out the shoveling the drive... I felt like one of those ice breaker ships. It was intense. I couldn't do the whole drive if I wanted to have a back tomorrow, so I did the area where the girls walk around. That stuff is pretty intense.
