tach wire hook up

Regarding the tach wire for 4.2 '03,,
is the pink / white wire from the computer the correct wire to feed the tach,, i saw some earlier post but was not clear for an '03

were doing the same thing on an 01...ill let ya know..lol.

if you buy an aftermarket tach it should tell you which wire in the directions.

go here. this is what we had to do for an 2001 ford F-150 4.2 V6.

pin 48 is the key, when you look at the PCM harness there is no wire going into pin 48 so you have to go to radio shack and buy a computer D9 connector and add a pin sleave to the harness inorder to use pin 48.

if you have any questions email me. this i know works for the 2001? ive heard of others using the pink and white? but for us that was WRONG! RPMS were OFF!
