99 A/C Heater Problem HELP!!
ok i am currently working on replacing my heater core, which has a pinhole leak in it. since i'm down there, i also thought i could fix what seems to be another problem... my a/c floor panels seem to stay on even when i have the a/c on OFF. like if i have the temp guage on hot, i can feel the heat coming from those bottom vents, and if i change it to cool, i can feel the vents blowing cool air. But when i have the A/C on or just the defroster, it doesnt blow down there, only when its OFF or when i actually have the floor panels on. why is it doing this and how can i tackle this problem?? i have to finish everything before the start of next week, so please help, thanks!!

The FLOOR outlet is the default position for the vacuum motors when the selector switch is in the OFF position. Your condition, at that level, is normal.
However, if you are noticing airflow at the floor outlets that changes in volume with the vehicle speed or when the windows are open , your recirculating door may not be properly closing and sealing.
