I've got an 84 f250 with a 351w thats got the original exhaust system except the cats have been gutted. I was running a 2" borla muffler cause it was giving to me but the 2.25"-2" adapter rusted through and when i hit a pothole on the highway, it departed this world and i couldn't find it after i turned around.
So now i have an open exhaust, it sounds great at idle, but when you give it gas or put a load on it the volume increases greatly and then it dumping under the bed which makes it louder again.
This truck only needs to last time spring time before i get another one, but i need a cheap muffler suggestion.
I've heard great things about the bullets but they have risen in price to near $50+s/h. I tried a turbo muffler but i couldn't hear the truck even when i reved it. I know about glasspack/cherrybombs, what length should i get?
ive run the 16 inch before it was actualy quieter than i thought it would be this was on a 440 u can go with the 24 inch and if its not loud enough just wait tell it gets hot and shoot some water init and it will get louder
