I have a 2002 F-150 single cab 2*4 and i am wanting to install power windows and lock on it and i cant tink of a good way of going about it. Any ideas?
I'm going to be going to a junk yard to find power window and lock doors for a 2000 F-150 and see about just inter changing the parts, swapping them out. I have some friends who work in the body shop of the dealership that I work at that'll help me with the process, they've done it before with success.
A simple job
Wiring should already be there. At least it was on my 97 F250. Only thing I did was install power window lifters from a doner truck. I used pop rivets like Ford did and you can't tell. Door lock wiring was there allso. Total cost from junk yard was $125.00 plus tax. Total time was 8 hours. Don't let these guys scare you. Its a good chalange if you are up to it.

Circuit City sells a remote keyless entry system for ~$60. If your truck don't already come with the power door lock option, they also sell the power "actuator" for converting the manual door lock to electric for about $30 each.
Installation is fairly straight forward but I opted for them to get the system installed for approximately $190 in labor charge ($50 for the remote, $70 per door X2 to install the actuators). Took them about 4 hours.
I did this power door lock conversion because the door locks get to be very hard to open with the door key when the outside temp. falls in the winter (no problems with the door locks in the summer) and this remote keyless system is an added convenience during such times.
