Vin # location?
i'm trying to find the vin number on a 53 54 55 or 56ford pu. i found one on right frame under the inner fender well. number is rust pitted and not stamped deep . can't read all or enough. can't find vin anywhere else. need vin in order to get title. can anyone help

Vin # location?
On the 53 to 56 F-100s the vin
numbers are in two locations.
Inside the glovebox door and
on the top of the passenger
side frame rail about 12" back
from the axle center line.
If your data plate in the
glove box is missing, try to
make out as much of the number
as you can.Take it the Dept.
of Motor Vehicles,have them do
a title search on your partial
number. Maybe you,ll get
lucky.
