Torque Converter Drain Plug ?

Take the rubber plug out of the bottom of the bell housing. Rotate the tq converter until the plug lines up with the hole. I think sometime in 03 Ford quit using tq converters with plugs so you may not have one.

It is hit or miss if it has one. I haven't seen one on most of the later trucks including my old 97 PSD. My guess is they stopped in the mid 90's, but I also stopped looking for the most part.

Ford installed torque converter drain plugs until August, 2001. Any torque converter built before that will have a drain plug.

Good info, but doesn't always guarantee a truck of a certain vintage will have one, especially history unknown as it could of had transmission work.
