well for one it took me 2 and a half hours to get from 43rd st e (north industrial) to cumberland and ruth st. When i finally got on to preston avenue. Someone in a nice f150 stopped in the middle of two lanes and sat there for no reason. It was relatively calm and you could see both sides of the road. Anyhoo, when i saw his brake lights i braked, but i slid for almost a 3/4 of a block and my anti lock never went on so i pumped like a mother but to no avail. I tried to ditch it, but the ruts on the side were like 24 to 32" high and solid ice so i didnt get up it at all. i slid right in to him and he barely got even a scratch. A paint scuff and a scuff on his chrome bumper. Whereas, i had a bent f. bumper, broken driver side light, drivers fender, hood and drivers door, plus i had my new heater core leak all over the iunside of the windshield. Now i cant see and my alternator got screwed up and is registering 5 onthe guage, so i barely had winshield wipers too. It was a very long and cold 16 block drive. Gotto give the guy a call later tonight to exchange info, it was too friggin cold and windy to do it on the road.

Some roads have been shut down here today.
The start of the current blizzard pattern sweeping Alberta hit late last night ...This was taken at about 9:30 am today.
