i was thinking of putting one on my 93 f350 w/ the 5.8, since i have no cat on it and it idles crappy, has anyone ever bought one from this guy?http://www.o2sensorsimulator.com/
Your truck is not OBDII and only has 1 O2 sensor. Your idle problem is probabaly due to a dirty IAC or a vacuum leak. The computer doesn't care if you have cats and a full exhaust or open headers, as long as the O2 sensor is inline and connected.
O2 simulatars are for the after cat O2 sensors on 96 and newer vehicles with removed cats to keep the engine light from coming on. All fuel injected engines need the o2 sensors to keep the fuel ratio proper
so then on my 96 I could use it since I'm not running cats and the O2 plug is just hanging there? Will this have any adverse effects on the way she runs?
The downstream O2 sensor only monitors catalyst efficiency and has nothing to do with engine fuel control so a simulator won't affect how the engine runs. As stated above, this is the only O2 sensor the simulators are meant to replace. A simulator will cause the engine to run incorrectly if installed in place of the upstream O2 sensor(s).

Yea, you could. although Ive known ppes that put them on and the engine light will still come on after a while. so its hit or miss
i purchased the simulator you linked to. it did not work. my CEL came back on anyway. i just deal with it now and check for new trouble codes periodically.
