Sterling noise
How’s everyone doing? I need some help with my 2002 EX. And 2000 F-250 both are 7.3 PSD with Sterling 10.25 or 10.50 they are both making a grinding noise when making a turn under power. I think it is the limited slip can they be rebuilt or not has anyone had this happen? The EX has 68k and F-250 120k.

You can swap the fluid first and add the appropriate amount of friction modifier and see if that reduces the limited slip chatter. Sometimes you need a bit more than recommended.
Some brands of gear oil state that you don't need friction modifier. Maybe you can even try one of those. I think AMSoil is one and maybe Royal Purple (available at NAPA).
