Depending on the rear suspension (3" vs 2.5") or if you're transferring the leaves to it should bolt up, different U-joint though.

I had a 96 Bronco and put a Sterling under the rear. It went right into place. Used f350 leaf springs and the stock driveshaft with 1 of those conversion ujoints.

You will have to use a different U-joint as mentioned but everything should bolt right up including the Sensor on top of the diff.

Wouldn't it be better to find a 250-350 to build up as a pulling truck? Maybe I'm thinking something different though.

A 1/2 ton is FAR from the ideal pulling truck

Well if you swapped the rears then of course you'd have different bolt patterns and would need different rims front/rear. Unless you swapped the front to 8 lugs also.

I agree that a 1/2 ton truck isnt a great start for a pulling truck.
