Lokar auto shifter

I just purchased Lokar's standard automatic transmission shifter and tried hooking it up to the C-4 I put in my 56 F-100. But i can't figure out how they want the linkage installed. The instructions get vague and it shows a piece that I don't have. Does anyone who has done this installation have any tips? Thanks

Jim

Jim.
I have the Lokar Shifter for my C-6 and it was a jewel to hook up. But, you are right about the instructions, they are a little bit vague, but I'll bet you do have all the parts. You may have to invert the original shift arm on the transmission (the way I did on the C-6) from pointing down to pointing up. If you have any questions, e-mail Lokar and I'm sure they would be glad to help you out. You can get the address from their web site. Let us know how you come out.

Well I ended up getting frustrated and hooked up the shifter straight to the tranny shift lever. It was already pointed up, just that in the instructions it said to bolt a piece onto the tranny shift lever. It seems to work just fine bolted directly. Thanks for the help though
