You also should have a relay that needs to be plugged in to the power distribution box - or may have alreay been plugged in. This provdes the power to the brakes and 12v aux to the trailer that you are towing. Without the realy, all you will have is lights.
I was looking in the owners manual and it shows a fuse in slot 101 which says trailer electric brakes, under the dash/steering column fuse box. Is that what you mean ?
