I used to buy this spray cleaner to clear out the soot in my intake. Now suddenly napa don't carry it anymore here in florida. What else is there to use? or what do you guys use to clean your intake out? Thanks for any help or ideas.
I would NOT use any kind of liquid on my intake. If its flamable you could introduce more "fuel" into the system than you would like -ie a runaway idle for several moments till its out of the system. Other liquids present the possibility of hydro locking the piston -ie bent connecting rod. Honestly- I've never heard about "cleaning" the intake.
Maybe I've missed domething here! Any one else have an opinion or feedback on the benifits of this idea??

this is the only other intake cleaner i found, its the 3rd down on the list, the cleaner i used you didnt spray with truck running and i have used it for 13 yrs of owning my truck and almost 300,000 miles in it now and the cleaner never caused a issue.
I used WD40 to clean up my intake a bit. Go light on the spray but enough to get it nice and clean. Just give it plenty of time to dry out/fumigate and you should be fine.
