question about adding something to my f150
Hey, how about a stereo? Seriously, loud mufflers are cool at the root beer stand but if you ever have to drive far and long, they will annoy the heckout of you. So for that occasion at least get a stereo that is louder than the muffler.
I believe that duals aren't the best bang for the buck. Flow and noise wise. You should look into a single cat back Gibson exhaust. They make "loud" stuff too! Looks very purdy, IMHO. Side exit too! As far as installation goes, any muffler shop can do that, and you can do it yourself too. The Gibson mufflers supposed to be working with stock location hangers. Only problem usually is to get the old muffler separated from the catalytic converter.
George <-- buying a house = no fancy muffler for a while!

Be a real man and drive a mans truck by getting a muffler. Buy a honda civic and put neon lights on it if you want a sound system. But i would not advise getting a gibson exhaust system. I just put one on my 00 f150 and it is not really that loud at all. You can't hear it when it idols and you can barely hear it during acceleration. My advise is flowmasters. They have a good reputation with good sound quality on fords.

You want some noise, go with the flowmasters and have them chop the exhaust pipe right after the muffler, and angle it down toward the ground, this helps with a nice rumbling echoe effect against the ground. At least thats been my experience with past trucks ive owned. My current truck doesnt have a exhaust system yet but its coming. I miss setting off all the alarms in the neighborhood.
