1951 KING PIN SHIMS

Last year I replaced the king pins on my 51 F-2. The kit came with a couple of shims that I did not use. Now I have up & down play in the spindle. Where is the correct place to insert these shims? Over/under bearing or on top? The book does not mention the shims.

1951 KING PIN SHIMS

The shims go between the top of the axle and the spindle, and the bearing goes between bottom of the axle and the spindle.

Shims - 1950 F1 King Pins

Hi, does anyone know where you can buy more shims? The left side took all 4 shims in the kit, so I probably need another 4 for the right side. I called Macs, LMC and NPD but they can only supply the full kit.
