Hellow everybody, Hope all had a good Christmas and an even better New Years.
Ive been hearing a noise coming from, what I think, the front drivers side wheel. Its kinda of a deep whinning noise that gets louder the faster I go.The noise maxes out at about 50 mph and then it seems to wind down a little bit. I thought it was the tire but, I had the tires rotated and balanced this morning and the noise was still there. I had the hub replaced on the passanger side about 6 months ago but that was a grinding noise, totally different than what im hearing now.
Jack up that side and grab the tire. Try to wiggle it side to side and up and down. There should be no free play or wobble. If there is, then you have a shot wheel bearing. The entire hub assembly must be replaced to fix it since it's a sealed unit, and it will cost you around $300 or more for the part.
