Happy, cause we've got 2 days to play in snow with the ATVs! Tonight I'm actually pulling mine in the shop to see about putting another exhaust tail pipe on. Gonna see if I can get a little more power out of her, while still keeping her quiet. I use it for hunting as well, so any increase in noise will not be a good thing.
Yeah I won't be able to pick up the Social Security disability and Workman's comp checks at this rate. Well at least my Veterans Disability check came last Friday, so I'm not broke. Probably just have to do a snow ride on the quad. Damn, my life is tough sometimes! :-missing
You need to look at the Title of this section of the FTE Forum then.
The only reason the title of this forum was changed to include "Big Block" was so that Google and other search engines would return links to this site when someone searches for "Ford Big Block" or "390 big block", etc.
Consider it an advertising device
I won't get into the TYPES of people who would say "big block" when referring to a Ford engine

Well if you use it to describe an FE, then you're plain wrong.
One more tidbit of ammunition in the big block/small block debate : If there were no such delineations, why are big block Stangs and Fairlanes referred to as such? These cars have been named as such, for longer than Ford produced them. What Ford did or did not do in descriptions has little to do with what's evolved over the years and is now accepted as gospel now.
hey guys judging fom all the con fusion in here i would just like to say that i have a 390 fe big blok in a 1967 ford f100 and on the origional owners manual it says fe not fte

FTE stands for "Ford Truck Enthusiast" and has nothing to do with FE or FT engines other than we have forums on the FTE website. Just what we need.......another one of the know it alls that know nothing and can't read or spell.
Example.............."a 390 fe big blok in a 1967 ford f100".........A "blok" is that some kind of new motor we never heard of?
I got two of those 390 FE Big Blocks . personally I like the terminoly of what FTE has given to FE engines.
krewat, let me be the first to say good name.
But then again I heard of people calling engines, motors.... this is technically not correct.
It all part of the internet jumbo, mumbo, feeling gumbo .
Back 20 years ago, I had a Big Block 67 Mustang with a 454. But mine was a FORD...................... 427 block, punched 30 over and a 428 crankshaft. Used to love the puzzled look on the Chevy guys faces when they saw it.
i do apologize for the miss understanding im sorry this is the first time i have had access to the internet. abreviations are confusing to me so i do apologize for the miss understanding. growing up in the back woods of south gerogia isnt the best place to learn how to speak city talk, bear45/70. just a question that screen name are you refering to the 45/70 cal. rifle used during... well since the begining of the usa
