Skid Plates

Why is it that you can get skid plates on the Eddie Bauer, but not the Limited?

According to the Ford Web Site you can, maybe you had the 2wd model clicked??

4WD only!

My dealer paperwork shows skid plates are a 4WD only option. Not available in any 2WD configuration.

When I go to the builder and go through the build process for a Limited it doesn't show skid plates as an option at the end. And I had the 4x4 option selected.

Well on the Non EL XLT they come as part of the off road package. They are listed for the EB (both STD and EL), but I see where the Limited STD doesn't list them but they are listed for the Limited EL. Maybe they are standard equipment on the Limited??? Probably not, maybe just a mistake on the web site.
