mbkatt: If I ever get time I will take everything apart and look into the weak spring thing. Time is short - maybe someday, until then I'll just keep getting upset with it.

You mention "Dismantle the recoil mechanism and re-wind the spring a bit tighter. This is quite a bit more difficult and you have to be careful not to over tighten it, or it will break."

I finally had the time to take my retractor out: Soooo - any advice on dismantling the recoil device and rewinding the spring (other than "be careful"). I know it can be taken apart because someone put it together but I'd rather not have things flying out of it and landing all over the place. Any advice will be appreciated (a picture would be great).
