WD40 is much safer as a starting aid.

The WTS light is not tied into the glow plug circuit. If the WTS light is not coming on the PCM is not going through its self test. Either due to a blown fuse, blown bulb, defective PCM.

I also have a feeling the PCM has problems.

You need to have it scanned for codes and see what comes up. If it comes up with glow plug lamp circuit, the pcm may be fine.

If you can't get the scan tool to communicate or get a rom error, it could be a fried PCM.

amiller93 thanks for the fuse printout. im bout as far as my mechanical ability will take me. if the gpr dont do it, ill tow it to the diesel shop and let them try.if it is the pcm will that break the bank???? would wd40 or ether help if any of the above are the problem. thanks guys for the help ill let you know what happens.

I would call Superchips and tell them you unplugged it while it was "Reprogramming to Stock" and see if they think it may have corrupted the PCM Programming. They may have a fix.

If the PCM is the issue (bad PCM, bad fuse you didn't catch, etc) then no, ether/starting fluid won't help, as the injectors will not be firing at all anyway.

No, a bad PCM will not break the bank unless the dealear diagnosis and fixes it. If you go that route, then live with it. Folks are trying to help you here. If you take it to a dealer you have foregone all assistance here. All of the previous suggestions are for nothing and you have wasted your time here.

A PCM from DP is far cheaper than a dealer unit and performs better. Do what was suggested with the SC support and post back.

well turns out the ecm is cooked.probably shorted when i was screwing around.a friend of my uncle has a diesel shop and towed it today. the pcm is ok. thanks for the suggestions it helped me rule out some items.ill chalk this up as stupid tax and add some goodies too.

Your truck doesn't have an ECM.
It has a PCM.
Is that what fried?

I thought he said ecm but i misunderstood him its the pcm an expensive lesson.ill let the experts tinker with it from now on or till i learn more about them...
