Thought I'd try this forum first for this question:
I have the need to remove the cap from my truck and reinstall it several times per year.
The grey foam tape that I apply to the cap rail deteriorates rapidly when decompressed during cap storage and then compressed during cap use on the truck.
Anyone have any ideas for a sturdier material that could stay attached to the cap rail and maintain its integrity after repeated removals and installations of the cap?
I thought about some of that heavy pipe insulation and gluing it to the cap rail, but don't know if there are any better quality ready-made products out there.
Thanks for any ideas you might have!
Rubber double bulb seals, like Undercover uses. however, rubber is really the trouble. If you can find a high quality silicone, either in bulbs or a single blade lip seal.
