I just acquired a '51 F-2. It has an eight foot bed on it Was this stock or a retrofit?? I'm also thinking about making it 4- wheel drive by using a late model chassis. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin.

Kevin, the 8' bed came with an F-2, and F-3 pickup in 1951. The F-2 had a 122" w.b. where as the F-1 was 114".

Thanks,kenny any ideas on replacement kits for them? I've tried the obvious ,all I've found are 6' kits. kevin

Hey Kevin, My F2 48 has an 8ft bed I'm missing all of my brake parts in the rear Id be interested in yours if you plan on putting in a different rear end

I have a 3/4 rear end out of a 54 f250 that I replaced with a later model. I don't know if they are the same as the F2, but it is the old style split differential. I would be willing to let the whole thing go. It is a 4.86 ratio, a stump puller. You can mail me at Jasper@interkan.net if interested.
