Now, in this picture below, the same black flat plug plugs into the back of the contoller, but on the other end is the Ford specific plug that plugs into the gray plug in the picture I posted in the above post.
Having this Ford specific harness means you don't have to splice anything. All you have to do is locate the gray plug and plug your harness into it.

Thanks for posting this, now I know where the factory adaptor wire goes under the dash.
the last ford I put a brake controller in (2001) the harness/plug for the brake controller was all the way up against the fire wall in the center if the cab! some clown at the factory thought it would be fun to hide it. all others have been where the picture that Stuart posted shows it.
also those wires that look like brake control wires are just pre loomed pass through wires. thay go in to the engine bay and are normally by the brake master cylinder.

Every time it happens (and dang if it aint happening a lot recently) I play with the idea of changing the font I use for my name that I put on every post, to a larger size to make it stand out.
Or maybe see if I can make the font for my user name in bold lettering.

That must be where the wiring is in this too, nowhere to be seen. Might have to send the electronic periscope into the depths for some investigation. This truck is RHD from the factory, so little wonder things are a little confused
Found that plug under the dash, clipped up, in the centre, when pulling the dashboard facia out, the whole deal, from left to right while chasing the lovely vacuum fault associated with the default setting on the heater/Ac . Just waiting for the connector to arrive from the USA now to complete the job (must be on slow boat via China )
