Hello everyone. Got an interesting idea for you guys to ponder.
Would it be possible for someone to take the electronic speedometer out of a 1994 to 1999 F-600-and higher truck, and convert it to the 1980 to 1986 pickups using the electronic pickups sensors and equipment out of a 92 to 96 pickup?
I post this here cause I believe you guys would know the most about the electronic speedometers and systems, cause the 1980 to 1986 didn't come factory with it.
Here is the thread and the post that started me thinking of a possible conversion.
I think it's theoreticly possible, The clusters are basicly identical except the speedometer is electronic. the only question would be calibration. Would the truck speedometer calibrate to a pickup tire diameter?
Just something for you guys to ponder about and chew over.
