Warning light swtiches?

Warning light switches on my FX4 S-Crew?

Just got my 2004 fx4 Screw and can't figure out what these two switches are for on my dash just to the left of my cig. lighter. They say Warning lights, top one for the front, and bottom one for the rear. When I switch them, a little light on the switch comes on, but I can't see anything else inside or out.

Doesn't sound factory to me, but I would guess that maybe the truck had strobes or other warning lights installed at one point. Maybe belonged to someone in the fire-police or ambulance service and had addtional emergency lighting that was removed, but they left the switches?

I'd go with Fergson's assumption here.. a '99 Ranger I traded in for my '05 150 still had a good mile or so of wire/cabling & antenna connections when it was turned in ...
