How do you remove a tail light?

The brake/signal light isn't working in my mom's tuck and I'm pretty sure its a bulb but dont know how to remove the tail light to replace the bulb. Any help is appreciated.

Lower the tailgate and remove the two bolts from the jam area on the side of teh opening. Then carfully and firmly grab the light and pull straight back. There are pins that snap into the body that you have to overcome to remove the light so it requires a little effort and care to not scratch the paint. I just put H-D lights in my truck and the lamps came off very easily.

I removed the two bolts but the light didn't seem to want to come out, but i think it may be froze in.

Try wedging your fingers inbetween the light and the box and pry. As stated bove they can be a little difficult but do come out. As straight back as possible also helps.

I read this post last night and took my taillight out today to install a backup camera. After you take the 2 bolts out, you have to pull hard straight back to get it out. The advice given is accurate. You have to put your fingers at the front vertical edge and pull it back pretty hard. The light only weighs a few ounces.
