Alright, well we're coming up on purchasing the items we need to make it run goood. We're going to get the holley 4412, points and condensor kit for now, oil/fuel/air filters, belts, gaskets for the valve covers which are leaking a ton, and a new cap and rotor. I'll make sure that after every change, we drive the truck and look for an improvement, that way if something doesn't improve or is bad, I know. =) Should I run 15w40 diesel oil in this bad boy? The tranny is newly rebuilt, shifts and downshifts great. I drove it today. =) It's about a quart low on oil (no idea how long it's been this way) and in definite need of an oil change. I was gonna use a standard oil filter and 15w40 oil, tell him to drive around, and do another oil change at the next 1500 miles to get some of the crap out of it. Probably drain and flush the cooling system while I'm at it. It's gonna be his daily driver. On a side note... does anyone have an extra rear-view mirror for this truck?

Oil choice is up to you. I was using std Pennzoil 20W-50 in my 68 Mercs 390. It was fine with it after I broke the cam in. Only vacuum line I know of on his truck would be the distributor vacuum, that goes to the vac port on the passenger side of the metering block (ported vacuum) PCV will go either to the large port on the rear of the carb (if it has one) or the spacer under it.
