Ok guys looking at picking up a used diesel but what should I look for as signs of something going wrong. I ran an Oasis and it's a pretty clean report but besides that what should I look for in the truck itself.
to be honest, whatever you want to pay for. if you want it go for it. if you want, send me your vin and i can share my opinion but basically if you feel good do it, if you dont, dont.
Ya I figured I'd make sure tires look decent still. No mixed coolant or anything (still under warranty anyways) IF it needs ball joints as I've read quite a few do by 70,000 miles I can do them myself no problem. and it's a 2-wheel drive so I'm ok there!
Can't remember all the details but there was a snap ring that wasn't made properly and everyone was to take in their truck to get it replaced. At the same time they was to check for metal shavings in trans and if there was they was to flush system add a external filter. Not sure if it is listed under TSB/recall list at top of forum. Also there was a recall on the engine wiring harness.
Mine has been a very good truck but has had some known problems happen but got fixed quickly.
