Talking Ricksons, first impressions

Well I got rubber on my wheels today and thought I'd throw out my first thoughts.
These are the aluminum "eliminator" style and the tire is a Michelin XDE2+ 285 70 19.5. Tire dia = 35.4"
First off, I totally dont believe anyone who tells me now that it must ride rough. I thought that might happen, but no doubt about it, a much smoother ride than my BFGs were.
Someone a month ago was asking about weight. 131lbs, wheel and tire and nuts.
I do not feel any difference in steering. I have the DR lift and theres no rub issues. It looks close to the bumper when the wheel is straight ahead but you cant make it hit, or at least I havent been able to.
Road noise, a little. Which is the tire, not the wheel. Doesnt really make me feel one way or the other. Its a diesel after all.
Quality of the product. This one might matter to someone thinking of buying. I always ask about quality, fit and finish, all that. Way, way, way better than the aftermarkets I'm pitching. These forged rims have attention to detail everywhere. Kind of impressive really. I'm used to having the show face polished and everything else just rough.
I dont have a gallery yet, and its dark out now but I'll try and get to that this week sometime.

I've never tried those so I don't have any experience with them. I'm glad you like them though and maybe you can post up some pic's of them.

I think I will. Me posting about it I hope doesnt come off sales pitchy. I have no affiliation with them other than buying their wares. I do hear people asking about 19.5's periodically, and I know one guy in particular was real interested in weight for some reason, which is why I brought the bathroom scale with me just to see.
Its more of a curiosity. Theres a smaller circle of people who think they want that heavy of a tire for whatever reason, but this is certainly the place to find those people. If I was lookin, I'd search here.
Oh, and if it helps someone, if you're not going to use your factory caps and get Alcoas, you want the 4611 and 4612 for the SRW.

Well I took a couple of jpegs but I'm at a loss. I cant create a gallery for some reason. Every time I try it boots me and IE shuts down completely. I can't cut n paste either.
Theres gotta be free photo hosting sites out there, I know I've seen some. Clue me in.

Good! BTW, seen you around some, keep thinking one of these days I'll tell ya, I still have my 0-3 bars pushed into the headliner by my door with a STRATCOM badge next to it.
Good place to have been.

I spent all my time in Comm. I retired from the 215 Engineering Installation Squadron, Everett WA. Did part time and full time/active.

Deployed all over PACAF installing and engineering comm, radar, alarm, and a bit of what-ever. Had a blast. Miss it sometimes.

Nice. I like the look. Kind of a clean look but has a little bit of aggressiveness to it at the same time.
