I have the factory heater with factory air. Is the resistor able to be replaced without replacing the whole motor?
Yes the heater resistor is able to be replaced seperately.
I just reread your first post and I must have missed the "Throw the switch a few times to make it work on high" part. This does suggest a switch may be needed.
Before replacing anything, I would test them first however.
Remove them from the power connector and hook them up to a voltmeter set to ohms. This way you can tell exactly what you need. You may need a switch and resistor. Or just one or the other.
