All of a sudden I have no heater/ac fan. Check all the fuses and relays, all good. Still no go.
Watched all the You Tube videos on changing the fan and resistor in the engine compartment.
Then I decide to tap the air box under the glove box and she fired right up.
fan resistor normally does not effect HIGH speed, just the lower speeds.. ALL speeds need a good ground. I would look at the ground wires for corrosion. Might also think the blower motor has a sticky bearing and causing the non run problem.
I've seen this problem with starters. A starter sometimes gets a bad spot on it and won't start. Give it a tap with a hammer while trying to start and it turns right over. It just needs a little help getting off the bad spot. Not saying this is definitely the problem but something to consider.
Do you have a DMM? If so, try backprobing the connector on the fan motor (assuming you have access) to determine if you have power to the motor when it's not running.
As mentioned above, grounds are always good to check, but I would also check the other wires for chafing and any connectors in the circuit for corrosion. Sometimes critters like to get under the hood and chew on wire insulation.
