i always have a hard time believing the websites that state the most recent addendums and regulations. if you call the local DMV or actually go down there (yea right, lol) they can hook you up with the most recent regs in writing. i like that cause i can keep it in my truck and when i get pulled over i can go through it with the officer if i truely dont feel i have been pulled over with reason (its happened twice in peachtree city)

That was taken from the State's website. That's why i put the whole thing up there.
Then again, I have a hard time believing State websites! Anybody in a "seat" (elected) can waive any regulations that are there to support laws that they are responsible for.
that looks to me a backwoods redneck wanted a big tall truck and didnt have the money to do it rite.those arms coming down from the frame to the axle.the welds will probably crack due to suspention bounce flex bumps at hiway speeds etc.thats not cool leave it there and youll wind up runin over your front end ,mabe not today but ya might tomorrow.
WOW!!! I guess that my imagination isn't as good as I thought! That's painfull to look at. If your keeping the truck toss those widowmaker blocks in the weeds now! Get those springs down on the axles and go from there.
Whats with all the drama in here? People panicing about a poorly lifted truck. Its simple.. just un do what the previous owner had done...dont go and sell it just because a few people are running around preaching dooms day haha.
You can easily put all of that back to stock ( or at least a safer height) by putting stock or just a smaller kit on there. As for those braces on the U bolts just cut them off w/ a grinding wheel. If you want to get a little lift and have the stock parts there..look into re arching the springs (cuz theyre probably a little worn out anyway) or getting some that already are.
Enough of that anyway... his original question was about his local laws...you should be able to look them up for your state online or jsut even call them to ask what standarnds you have to meet to be legal.

Certain spring packs have a front and back, it is hard to tell by the pictures, but, it looks like the length of the springs in front of the block and the open space between the leafs in the back, are different on both packs.
Going by the flatness of the spring packs and length, it looks like rear springs were used. Can you tell if new hangers were welded or bolted on at the rear of the front springs?
That driver's side brake line does not look too swell either.
I think the best thing is to ditch everything and start over with normal sized tires (even if you sell it) and build it up safely. Knowing the laws of your state, I would look at getting a larger GVW truck so you can get max. lift.
ummm, b/c there are blocks in the FRONT! and not 1 or 2" blocks, blocks so tall theyt could be used as jackstands! good grief! its crap like this as to why we have so many lift laws and why so many ppl look down on us 4x4 guys! this is not something to take lightly, its extremely dangerous even to lay under!
this is what scares me most...
