Since the 302 and 351 share cylinder heads, What about the head gaskets?? Do the interchange?? I am going to swap my 79 351 heads for 5.0 HO heads and I already have a pair of head gaskets for the 5.0 Id like to use them If I can...
Yea, same gaskets for both. Just make sure you install them correctly. They'll go on either up or down, but they have a front and back. Put them on wrong and you'll have overheating issues. The long triangle shaped port at either end is a coolant passage, the gasket has one end open here, one closed. The closed end goes toward the front. The makes the coolant flow to the rear before going up into the heads. Put them on wrong and the coolant shortcuts up to the heads, you end up with hot coolant in the rear.
