ok i just swapped out my beat-up e4od for my mint AOD in my 93 f150. the AOD is out of an 88 bronco. the tranny wont come out of 1st gear, what controls the trannys gears in the 88??. i was sure that it wasnt a computer deal what else do i need to swap to make it work right?
You need to install a TV cable from the throttle body to the trans.
The cable moves a valve inside the trans. which controls the line pressure.
You can damage the trans. if the cable is not adjusted properly. Don't drive it until you install a TV cable.
Your original trans. had a electronic valve body which was controlled by the computer.
whats the proper way to get the tq converter to fill up after u put it in empty like haynes says?. cause i know it the tq as to the way its acting, if i take the fluid out to where its at the full level the truck dont move, if its over full it moves, and the more over full it is the better it moves.
