Did a 55 F100 ever have a hood emblem on the top centerline of the hood, mine had two holes which looks like an emblem went there, any ideas, all my emblems were stripped when I bought it so I don't know and never see an emblem on any of the photos of 55s-Thanks, Scott
I've got a 55 also.It came with a emblem on the hood when I bought it. Its the cogwheel with a lightning bolt thru it. I think this was original equipment.
Yes, the '55 has an emblem on the front of the hood at the centerline crease. The other emblem or badge is in the grill between the "gull" wings. It is either a four pointed star or an "8" impose over an elongated "v".
Thanks, Garlym and Darkknight, I have the four pointed star and was going to buy the entire "gull wings" chrome, but I have searched most of the Ford reproduction parts web sites and have yet to find the "Cog wheel/lightning bolt" for the top crease on the hood..Any good suggestions, Scott
