Does anyone know how to determine the polarity (which terminal is grounded) of instrument gauges; I don't see any markings on the late '80's gauges I am using in my 50 F1. Short of trial and error, as I don't have my senders connected yet. I have taken an ohm meter to look for continuity to the case, but no luck.
Also, the dash light reflector to illuminate the gauges seems to be "painted over" with a white substance, is this stock. I'm thinking of removing it just where the light mounts to give more light to gauges. I'm using green LED's for retro look.
