Chip install questions
Adam
this is a link for the ts chip which is the same install procedures. Take your time on the contact cleanup. Let us know if you run in to issues. Let me summarize also. Pull the chip off of the plug, pull the e brake panel off 3 13mm nuts pull it side ways. You will be able to see a small rectangle hole in a silver box that is where the chip plugs in. there should be a plastic guard there pop the guard off if the contacts have been cleaned thread your chip through plug it in and you are good if not pull the silver box out and clean the contacts, put it in put the chip in and you are done. Should take an hour or a little more for the entire process if you have to clean the contacts, a lot less if the guy before you already cleaned it. good luck
i cant think of where a good write up is. i know baz's site has one but no pics i think.
ok for starters :
disconnect batteries
pull a couple of screws loose from your fender well the black plastic in there.
disconnect the wiring harness to the pcm.
put a stick or something in between the fender and well and pry it down while sliding the pcm out of the firewall into the engine bay.
pull off the ebrake assy. 3 13mm nuts. also a wire for the brake light needs to come off.
take your pcm inside. remove black cover from the rear of pcm if its still there.
clean contacts. take your pcm cover off to do this. its not that bad. just allows you to get it cleaner and inspect the contacts. i used a little flat tip. make sure both sides are clean and none of the covering is left.
a few pics to help you in your quest

this is here the pcm slides out of its gone in this pic
this was my first install i was not patient and did not remove the fender liner screws. notice how bad my insulation is now. i learned the screw trick when i did my dads a few later. i could not do this to his truck so therefore i removed the screws.
ok so you pcm is all cleaned up now on both sides. put the cover back on. slide er back into the firewall. mount it back up, reinstall wiring harness, ok now from inside your cab refer to one of my pics slide the chip into its new home making it secure. it only goes on one way. then route the cable out from behind the pedal and up over your in cab fuse panel. i then ran it over the steering wheel to the right side. this is up to you. i removed beezel and drilled. make sure your cord is long enough before drilling.
reinstalled and walla.
switch location
i am of few words so i will leave it at that. if you need more help just ask. pretty straight forward. reconnect batts and try it out. if it doesnt start or run right all your contacts arent clean enough. good luck..
maybe you will luck out and find that maybe your truck has been chipped before or is right now and you wont have to remove pcm. so therefore pull the ebrake and look first.
