Get both at the same place, your local International Dealer.

Wow... did the large HFCM filter have the white colored "Aqua-Bloc" media on it... or just the pleated paper filter showing? If the pleats show... then it is NOT an OEM fuel filter kit. If it has the white/thin "Aqua-Bloc" over the pleats (large filter only).. then it is OEM spec'd and it is this feature (Exclusive to Racor) that helps seperate water... which is what the HFCM filter and housing does!!!

Check out the link below on a thread I started a while back (with pics and all). Compare what I posted to that which you bought at O'Riely's and see if they sold you OEM spec'd filters... if not... you are at risk (in my opinion at least)... and you can buy them at an Int'l dealer for less.... so why pay more to get less????

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...-look-for.html

Look at post #1 in the link above regarding fuel filter specs and "looks". It is the white/media on the large filter your comparing!!!!

Just because it fits and people say it works for the 6.0L... it is not OEM... buyer beware.

Let us know...

Jeff, he's alright if he got the motorcraft, O Reilys carries oem filters (motorcraft). If he got the Wix, he got the shaft.

I also use my local International dealer. I believe the last time I was there I paid 31 or 32 dollars for the fuel filters.

Did not know that O'Rieley's carried Motorcraft... but for $48.00/kit as he posted... that seems cheap for Motorcraft brand fuel filters????

Guess we will need to wait and see what he posts?
