torque specs'?

torque specs'?

Does anybody out there know the torque specs' for the rear diff. pinion/slip yoke...thanks...Brent M

my haynes manual lists three torque #'s for driveshaft parts, they are universal joint cap bolts at 17 ft lbs, front driveshaft to transaxle bolts 27 ft lbs, and center bearing nuts 35 ft lbs. Hopefully these cover the part you need, good luck.

No,I have those torques thanks...I need the nut torque that holds on the slip yoke(or pinion yoke,whichever name you like to call it)...I looked in my haynes manual as well,but I can't find it there either...I thought maybe someone out there would have a better source of info...thanks anyway.Brent M

If your talking about the pinion nut(holding the flange/yoke to the pinion shaft at the front of the rear differential),on my '90 Ranger it is 170 ft.lbs.- in other words pretty tight.
