torque specs.?
just wondering if anyone can tell me why on some torque specs' it's not a specific torque...i've never understood this...for example...when I took off the yolk from the rear diff/RBC/(driveshaft)and went to re-install it,it said the torque was 160 ft.lbs -200 ft.lbs....so what is it,somewhere in the middle,180 ft.lbs.?that's what anyone I talk to says...nobody has really given me an explanation for this variable in the specs'...I don't get it...what would the torque be then?...thanks for any info...Brent M.

I've never personally seen that type of spec, but in all likelihood those parts are probably happy in that torque range, probably when you get that high in torque settings there is no real difference and no risk of overtorquing the parts otherwise they would give you a specific number. I'd choose the midpoint of the range like you mentioned.
