That is something I would like to do one day - have a white Christmas with my whole family - it would be neat - none of us has ever seen or touched it!
We usually have a Seafood & outdoors BBQ for Christmas lunch! If it's real hot (talking about 90's f this year) we might even go to the beach for a swim after lunch sometimes!
Enjoy your snow and make the most of it, in this age of global warming, who knows how much longer you'll be getting it!
The way the south Polar Ice is melting - pretty soon I'll be able to see Ice bergs from New Zealand, floating past when we go to the beach for that Christmas swim!
Cheers & thanks for sharing your Christmas snowfall with me!!
Damn you Lisa, seriously damn you. I do know that seeing that much snow WOULD get MY panties wet, and not because im waist deep in it! That would equal some serious cash, since we are in the snow removal business. Last year on Dec 06 we had our first snow, and this past week it was 76* and we were working in short sleeves. They are calling for snow on christmas, but i don't know. Sure hope so.
I hear ya Kris! The only plowable snow we have had here in West michigan was while I was stuck in Missouri Trying to pick up my new truck. Needless to say my boss was really busy doing his route and mine! Let it snow let it snow let it snow (but not like Colorado)
with that much snow I would be up for some rope and my snowboard so you can tow me down the road and I can grind all those tops of civics that are left on the side of the road.
so when they come back to there car htey have new racing strips.
Kris - i'm sure everyone in this great state would be happy to see you. We're still having some serious snow removal issues, it just finally stopped blizzarding just a few hours ago! Still abandoned cars everywhere, still 8 foot snow drifts and nearly impassible side roads. Airport is still shut down. It'll take us a few days to dig out of this one. Most of the major trans. veins have been plowed, but, just as an example, my street is packed with about 3 feet of snow, 4 foot in some places. When I was out playing in the truck I passed a lump of snow I think was a Volvo.
Fly - well snow is fun and all that but I definitely wouldn't mind BBQ and a beach at this point. Stores are closed today and I havent done my holiday shopping yet. Eeeeekk! I can only hope people manage to get things opened up tomorrow. I guess that's what I get for waiting until the last minute.
We have this machine set up for snow with a snowblower, it is a beast in the snow. If it's too high, just raise the blower up and eat away at the drifts. You can't get this thing stuck, i have climbed up wild piles of snow and gone down the other side, just to see if it will do it, and it does. Too bad we don't get snows like that here where we can "use it"
our first snow in Montana was Sept 16th. lol. never last, but its great when it gets chilly and below Zero then wamrs up to like 15 deg and all I need is a hoody sweat shirt to stay warm. funny how you can adjust.
Safe travels for those of you traveling (including me) this weekend and or week.

We have a JD 250, and a 280 version of that machine, and they are damn fine machines, and we also have a huge *** snow blower for it, and on the 280, it throws snow incredibly far... (IIRC ithe opening is 10 feet wide, 4 feet tall) We use it to get to remote tower sites in the winter. Although we dont have the rubber tracks, just tires.
I was just using it this week when we stacked this tower

BTW as far as I am concerned, if anyone reading this is offended by the word CHRISTMAS, they need to take the stick that's lodged up their rear end and jam it all the way up their politically correct A$$ until they choke on it.
Merry CHRISTMAS!
AMEN! To That One
Buy the way, nice pics Smokin, Wish we could get that kind of snow here in WV, we use too, just not any more, we have only had a dusting this year. Enjoy!!

I'm sure that way to many people will strap skies and boards onto whatever the drive and come up to ruin my freshies this weekend all I can say is welcome to colorados playground and please remove your econo-box from my grille
Speaking of this S N OW STUFF! I kid-you-not my wife and kids went to the mall today and bought a couple boxes of Snow Powder. Its a box of synthetic polymer that expends up to 100 times is volume when you add water! Once you add water you put it in a ziplock bag and put it in the freezer. Once done, it looks and feels like real snow!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that sad or what?!
