AE question????

I have had the AE for a while now.It also has speed tracer.Am i rite in assuming thats the program to see your 1/4 mile time etc, etc.
But my question is where is it,i cant find it anywhere,or even how to use it.
I know it has it,as it says it on the cd.

Speed tracer doesn't work on our PSD's, sorry.

The good news is there's a rumor going around that the next updates will add some new features to AE where we can do a few more things like speedo recalibration.

Thats the word I'm hearing. One more update for version 4 and then V5 will bundle recal and several other "Dealer only" functions

Speed Tracer will do 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times. It won't do HP & torque curves though.

This is correct. Our trucks are missing a few of the key sensors for calculating correct HP and TQ numbers. I think one of them is an oxygen sensor.
Like westpsd said though, the acceleration function works just fine.

That was a big bummer when I was looking at the unit. Our trucks are OBD-II but not fully OBD-II compliant because they are considered oversized vehicles and therefore exempt from the OBD-II compliant regulations which mandate the sensors which would provide the necessary data. 6.blows and D-Maxs have the requisite sensors. I don't know how we will overcome this but who knows. I'm not even sure what sensor/s we are missing.

Parts of the Speed Tracer program will work, just not every feature. Things such as 0-60 and 1/4 mile times work, however the HP/TQ calculators do not function correctly.
