I'm still here
I have been busy working out the details of my divorce and relocating and getting internet started and stuff like that.
Have not had to much of a chance to work on the old truck other than changing oil and washing it. Other than that just been driving it. I am living a lot closer to my work here in Turlock and am using half as much gas which is good concidering my X is getting half my check...hehehe
But I tell you this life is so much better away from her than it was with her..
I do have a carb question for you guys.
I have a manual choke on a Holley 650 4v I have been having better luck just giving it a high idle with my foot and not using the choke on these very cold mornings. It seems when I use the choke it gasses out real bad, I mean you can smell the fuel. It also does not seem to run as well. I can adjust the idle on the manual but the chock plate moves the same when you pull the cable. I guess I could just adjust the idle on the chock up higher and that should help the mixture.
Does any one know if there is any other way to adjust the mixture on this Holley?
Ok enough for now
Post later
Maybe we both didn't put things together correctly
I hope that made sense. It did to me but sometimes it's hard to explain with my fingures.
You might also try adjusting the cable tension, so when it is fully pulled, you would have the correct setting.
PM me if you need any explanation. We could exchange tele #s.
Also PM me if you need anyone to talk to that has been through a divorce. I've been there. A long time ago, but still fresh in my mind. Not as harsh, but still fresh.
Good luck my friend. Glad to see you back, T
What you think of our 4X4 project? Ready to drive it and work out some aggression?
btw, I have a holly manual you can use, but their website has lots of good help available.

I'm very happy to hear that.
What do you mean, you don't have a 4x4. We're building one. It's yours too as I see it. All ya gotta do is join in the fun and you'll be part owner. Then you can live through the spoils, and beer, of your own work. We guys are you, Northern Cal Brotha.
When you get a little time between romance, stop on in and offer up some of your expertise ok?
Dang, did I just say that? Moderator, clean this up please...oh wait, I'm the moderator...what do I do now?

Anyways, you know we're here for you, Jon. There's always light at the end of the tunnel, and it's kinda looking like that tunnel is a whole lot shorter than you first thought...!
