Quick question

When I am fueling up I wear gloves to keep the smell of the desiel off my hands. When you guys change out a fuel filter what do you use to get the smell off your hands? That stink will hang around for days......

You wash it off? I usually dab a little behind my ears and head back inside for a little somethin' extra...

Thats what I was thinking. It smells so good I bottle it and give it as cologne for Christmas.

Go to the local auto shop and by some latex rubber gloves. They look like the ones that the docs wear when there doing exams. They are the ones that are one time use and then you throw them away.

I was never bothered by that stuff but since I have a mostly office job and the dirty hands syndrome are kind of frowned upon I use nitrile gloves whenever I work on my car/truck. The nitrile seems a little tougher than latex.

As far as washing it off, I use some Fast Orange to clean up with when needed.

Soap and water has always worked for me, are you like covering yourself in it or something?

PURELL....
Dawn Dishwashing Soap
Windex
Lemon Juice.
not all at once.... but they all do the job. Diesel is an oil, and they add that gawdawful smell to it; guess they didnt want us using it instead of old spice or somethin. whatever you use to get it off just needs to be an astringent. alcohol works too... rubbing that is... or grain, if you don't wanna CARE lol
